Regole della Classe


These rules are intended to regulate the activity of the UFO 22 International Class, for anything not present in the statute.  The official language of the class is Italian.

Sporting Activities – Racing calendar

• TURBO CUP International Circuit

The executive board will select 4 regattas (included Italian Championship) at the beginning of each season and these will make up the TURBO CUP International Circuit.

The winner of the International Circuit will receive a prize at the end of the last competition.

The rules for the awarding of prizes shall be established by the executive board contextually to the calendar.

• Continental Championship

It is held yearly. Participation is open to all boats in order with the class association.

The championship will be made up of at least 7 competitions, to be run over at least three days of racing.

At least 4 competitions must have been held before the title can be assigned.

A windward course will be set with a second upwind mark.

Measurement controls will be held before and during the race meeting.

• National Championship

It is held yearly. Participation is open to all boats in order with the class association.

The championship will be made up of at least 7 competitions, to be run over at least three days of racing.

At least 4 competitions must have been held before the title can be assigned.

• Wind speed limits

Wind speed limits for the International Circuit regattas and the Italian Championship are:

Maximum wind speed limit 25 knots. Minimum wind speed limit at the start 5 knots.

• Zonal Calendars:

Zonal or Interzonal Championships will be held, the form to be established by each individual zone.  The zonal regattas may not be concomitant with the TURBO CUP circuit races.

• Publicity:

The UFO Class regattas belong to category C.
